The Drag Audio
When I began my Master’s program at UT Austin, I collaborated with a former professor from Texas A&M to help launch the Howdy and Hook ’Em Podcast, which explored the renewed A&M–UT rivalry following UT’s move back to the SEC in 2024. I co-led the project, co-hosted a few episodes, and managed responsibilities such as creating social media graphics and developing episode ideas. I joined The Drag Audio as part of the Marketing team, where I contributed to social media strategy and content creation. My role quickly expanded, and I now serve as Operations Manager, overseeing projects, directing our leadership team, and supporting the overall direction of the organization alongside our Managing Director. This involves staying on top of our in house podcasts, as well as client projects The Drag is paid for. I attend biweekly Texas Student Media (TSM) Leader meetings alongside the TSM Director, and also TSM Board Meetings.

Howdy & Hook 'Em Collaborative sports podcast
Howdy and Hook ’Em was a collaborative podcast between Texas A&M and the University of Texas students, exploring the rivalry and shared history of the two schools in light of UT’s reentrance to the SEC in 2024. The podcast mainly dove into the football programs. I was introduced to podcast production during my undergraduate studies at Texas A&M under Professor Joey Lopez, who later connected me with Katey Psencik at UT Austin. As a co-leader of the podcast, I was tasked with social media posts for when episodes were released, contributed to episode development, and co-hosted multiple episodes. Check out the podcast here.

My experience as a Leasing Consultant strengthened my customer service and communication skills while deepening my understanding of lease contracts and applications. I also gained valuable marketing experience by contributing to social media content creation and street marketing efforts. I provided my leasing and property managers with ideas and collaborated with on promotional efforts.

12thManProductions
At 12thManProductions, I gained hands-on experience in live sports broadcasting. I operated broadcasting cameras for a variety of athletic events, for both live television streams and in-stadium coverage. At Texas A&M football games, I worked the big screen camera, ensuring fans in the stadium had an engaging and dynamic viewing experience. This role sharpened my technical skills, adaptability under pressure, and ability to collaborate with a fast-paced production team.

Gamma phi beta
As a freshman in college, I went through the formal recruitment process, which landed me in Gamma Phi Beta at Texas A&M University. I became thoroughly involved, starting out at a Sisterhood Event Planning Assistant, then a BEDI (Belonging, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) Chair, and finally Webmaster; where I ran our social media and updated our website. I found these experiences invaluable and allowed me to come out of my shell. Check out my Webmaster experience under social media work.

A-Line Magazine
A-Line Magazine is a student-led fashion magazine at Texas A&M University. I was on the video team from Jan 2023 - May 2024, where we created TikTok's, but mostly focused on our short films/trailers that were shown at our magazine launch parties each semester. This gave our small video team, (sometimes only three of us), the ability to plan out these films entirely, from directing, filming, editing, to shopping for outfits, and looking for locations. Check out the films I worked on in my video section.

Music & Movie Making in texas 2023 conference
In 2023, I was given the opportunity by a professor to speak alongside my collegues in A-Line Magazine at Texas A&M at the Music and Movie Making in Texas Conference. "Haley Cox, Sheyla Hidalgo and Amy Kingston elaborated on their experience running and coordinating A-Line, their student-run fashion magazine at Texas A&M"
